Our Belief

A Manifesto for Self-Custody

We've been in the Web3 space since the early days of imToken. These are the principles we live by.

“The goal of cryptocurrency is not to make you rich. It's to make you free.”

— The spirit of Bitcoin

01

Self-Sovereignty

Your private keys are your identity in the digital world. Controlling them means you answer to no one—not banks, not governments, not corporations. This is freedom.

02

Verify, Don't Trust

In Web3, you can verify everything yourself. Don't take anyone's word for it—not even ours. Check the blockchain, read the code, validate the facts.

03

Security is a Practice

Security isn't a product you buy—it's a discipline you develop. Good habits, constant vigilance, and continuous learning are your best defenses.

04

Knowledge is Power

The more you understand, the safer you are. Scammers prey on confusion. Education is your armor against manipulation and loss.

05

Community Over Competition

We're all in this together. Share what you learn, help newcomers, and remember: one person's security failure affects everyone's confidence in the ecosystem.

Core Concepts

Understanding Blockchain

Blockchain isn't just technology—it's a philosophy.Understanding these core concepts is the first step to mastering Web3.

Decentralization

Traditional banks are controlled by centralized institutions, while blockchain is maintained by thousands of nodes globally. No single entity can tamper with data or block your access to assets. Your assets aren't stored on any company's server but recorded on a globally distributed ledger.

This means: Even if a country bans cryptocurrency, your assets still safely exist on the blockchain.

Protect Your Digital Assets

In Web3, you are your own bank. This means security is entirely in your hands.

A private key is a randomly generated 256-bit number. A seed phrase (usually 12 or 24 words) is a human-readable version of your private key. Whoever holds the private key has complete control over the assets.

Do

  • Write your seed phrase on paper and store in a secure physical location
  • Consider using a metal seed phrase backup for fire and water protection
  • Store backups in multiple secure locations
  • Use a hardware wallet for significant holdings

Don't

  • Never screenshot, photograph, or store digitally in any form
  • Never send your seed phrase through any network channel
  • Never store in cloud storage or password managers
  • Never enter your full seed phrase on any website

Protect Your Seed Phrase Forever

Paper burns. Metal doesn't. HeirBOX titanium backups survive fire up to 1400°C, floods, and corrosion.

Tools We Trust

What We Actually Use

We're not here to sell you stuff. But when people ask what gear we use, these are honest answers. We use these products ourselves.

A note from us:Hardware wallets and metal seed backups aren't mandatory to use crypto. But after years in this space and seeing too many people lose assets to hacks, fires, and forgotten passwords, we believe physical security tools are worth the investment.
